The Joy of Music Beyond Genius

Bach might visit a fourth-grade classroom and inspire the children with the belief that they, too, could become like him. I'm sure many of us have experienced that kind of inspiration in our lives. In reality, however, very few children will grow up to possess Bach's extraordinary musical genius - and they do not need to.

Music is a glorious pursuit in its own right, requiring no comparison with anyone else. Every moment spent making music can offer its own profound delight. It need not be merely a step up the mountain toward the highest peak; the journey itself is rich, meaningful, and worthy of celebration.
